He was a Marxist/Socialist Revolutionary who fought first with Fidel Castro in Cuba and then in Africa and Bolivia. Che was captured in a military operation supported by the CIA and the U.S. Army Special Forces. The next day, the 9th of October, 1967, Che was summarily executed by the Bolivian Army.
